Decorating of CupCakes


Flowers Blossom & Stripes CupCakes Decorating

Step by step CupCakes decorating :
* Roll out a small amount of white fondant quite thinly, run it through the pasta machine until it is about 2 mm thick, and then run it through the fettuccine attachment. This will give us a bunch of even strips to use for our decorating, repeat with a small amount of black fondant.

* With the back of our paring knife, mark a faint line on our cupcake where we want to start our stripes from. Using an artist brush dipped in water, paint a thin strip of water on the cupcake and place a white or black strip on it, straighten it with our paring knife.

* Then apply another water stripe next to the first stripe and apply the next stripe of fondant, alternate the colours, always use our paring knife to straighten the lines.

* When we have finished, use our paring knife to trim the excess bits of fondant strips.

* Roll out some white fondant very thinly, approx 2 mm. Using a plunger cutter, cut out some blossoms. The cutter size we have used allows for 7 blossoms per cupcake.

* Place the blossoms on a petal pad and then use a balling tool to thin the edges and cup the blossom.

* When the blossoms have dried a little, place them on the cupcake to cover the beginning of the strips. Attach the blossoms by piping a small amount of royal icing on the cupcake and then placing the blossom on it.

* Once all the blossoms are in place, use the black royal icing with a piping bag and a number 1 or 2 size nozzle, pipe a small dot in the center of each blossom.

The nice Flowers Blossom & Stripes CupCakes is finished decorated.

Love Heart CupCakes Decorating

Step by step Love Heart CupCakes Decorating :
* Prepare a white fondant about 3 to 4 mm thick for cover the top of the cupcake. Hold a disc in one hand and a cupcake in the other, place the cupcake onto the disc and gently smooth the fondant on using our hand. We may have to use our thumb to gently adjust the size of the fondant if it is slightly too big, then take our flexi smoother and gently polish the cupcake until it is smooth all over.

* Roll out some black fondant and some white fondant to 2 mm thickness.

* Using a heart cutter, cut out a large black heart and a smaller white heart.

* Using an artist brush dipped in water, paint a dab of water in the middle of the cupcake, don't use to much, if it is too much it will seep out from under the heart. 

* Place the black large heart on top.
 
* Then put another dab of water in the middle of the black heart and then place the smaller white heart on top.

* In a small container, place some silver luster and then add a small amount of cake decorator's alcohol. With an artist brush, mix the luster until it is smooth and not too runny.

* Hold our cupcake up and paint the top heart silver with our artist brush held at a flat angle, this will minimize mistakes. This will dry quickly because the alcohol will evaporate quickly.

* Fill our piping bag with some black royal icing. Pipe small dots around the black heart and around the circumference of the cupcake. 

* If we find that we get small tips on our dots, use a moist artist brush held at a flat angle to push the small tip down. Let the royal icing dry.

Decorating of CupCakes


Covered CupCakes

Covering and preparing decorate CupCakes :

Ingredients:
- Flavoured syrup or sugar syrup
- CupCakes
- Ganache
- White Fondant
- Hotwater

Equipment:
- Jug
- Paring knife
- Palette knife
- Circle cutters
- Rolling pin
- Flexi smoother

Step by step methods:
* Trim our CupCakes using the paring knife, we are making space for where the ganache is going, depending on the design of the CupCakes we can shape either a dome or cut it flat.
 
* Ensure that our ganache is a lovely smooth consistency, similar to peanut butter. Use our palette knife, scoop up some ganache and spread it onto the cupcake. Make sure the ganache goes all the way out to the edge of the cupcake case. We want to completely enclose our cupcake.

* Once we have done a rough coat on all our CupCakes, fill a litre jug with hot water. Dip our palette knife in the water until it is hot and use it to smooth the ganache on the cupcake, we need the CupCakes to be completely smooth now as any bumps will show through the fondant later on, gently run a finger along the outside of the cupcake case to tidy up any stray bits of ganache.

* Let the CupCakes set for approx 30 minutes.

* Using flovoured syrup or sugar syrup, paint a thin coat of syrup on top of the cupcake, this will help the fondant to adhere to the cupcake.

* Roll out our white fondant until it is approx 3-4 mm thick. Using a circle cutter, cut out discs that cover the top of the cupcake.

* Hold a disc in one hand and a cupcake in the other, place the cupcake onto the disc and gently smooth the fondant on using our hand.

* We may have to use our thumb to gently adjust the size of the fondant if it is slightly too big, then take our flexi smoother and gently polish the cupcake until it is smooth all over.

* The CupCakes are now ready for decorating.

Decorating of CupCakes


CupCakes Decorating with Buttercream

We can decorate our CupCakes by piping a swirl, using a star tip to achieve the look of a soft serve ice-cream.

The materials are :
- Disposable piping bag
- Large cream nozzle
- Buttercream
- Cake topper of our choice

The Methods step by step  :
* Cut the tip off the end of the disposable piping bag and place the nozzle inside. Fill the bag with buttercream.

* Start a little way in from the edge of the cupcakes and pipe to the outer edge.

* Continue going all the way around the outer edge of the cupcakes, staying as close to the edge as possible.

* When back to where we started finish off in the center with a small star.

* Start again on top of the first layer going around in the same direction.

* Finish piping with a small star or rosette on the top. Stop applying pressure before pulling away.

* Add a cake topper on the top. Sugar decorations can be purchased according to our choice.

This is a simple technique of decorate CupCakes.

Cakes for The Feast Day

To celebrate the Feast Day many people usually make Cakes.
As is usually many housewives of the Moslem Families make many kind of Cakes to welcome Eid Feast Day.
in Southeast Asia some of the housewives make Layer Cakes.
Many kind of Layer Cakes are made with many variety.
There is also Layer Cakes with Chocolate layer.
 And there are also Layer Cakes which added of fruits or cheeses on the top. For busy families, many of them do not make the Cakes by themselves but they buy it at the Cakes Shop/Bakery or they order it at the Cakes maker.
There are also many housewives who make simple Cakes such as Cheese Steamed Cakes or Chocolate Steamed Cakes.
For housewives who do not work will have more time to make the Cakes, some of the housewives make Cakes which is decorated.
 There are also some families order Cakes to the Cakes maker to be given to their relatives, typically the order of the Cakes will decorated with interesting shapes.
In addition making the Cakes, many people also make Cookies, many kind of Cookies are made for celebrate the Feast Day.
One of the most famous Cookies in Indonesia which is named Nastar, Cookies that contains pineapple or pineapple jam in it. This Cookies is very tasty.
The Cookies also can be bought at Pastry Shop or Bakery.
 Except contains pineapple, there are also Cookies containing cheese.
There is also Cookies made of sago called Sago Cookies.
There is also Cookies that contains cashews in it and dusted with powdered sugar.
And there is also Cookies made of peanuts.
Some people also make Chocolate Cookies in celebrating the Feast Day. These are some kind Cookies that are made from Chocolate.
And some people also make Cookies that contains strawberry jam.
One of the other famous Cookies in Indonesia is called "Lidah-Kucing" that means Cat's Tongue Cookies which shaped like a tongue, this Cookies is made from Egg Whites without Egg Yolks.
Besides of the Sweet Cookies there are also Cookies that are salty, one of the Salty Cookies is Cheese Stick.
 The other of salty cookies is Salty Stick Cookies which is made from dumpling skin.
These are some examples of Cakes and Cookies for the Feast Day, we can make it or we can buy it. 
Still many creations of the Cakes and the Cookies, different country has different kind of Cakes and Cookies also different flavour and favorite.
